According to recent industry reports, Apple is preparing to address this issue with the upcoming iPhone 17e, expected to arrive in early 2026. The new model is rumored to bring back full MagSafe support, making wireless charging more convenient and restoring compatibility with Apple’s magnetic accessories.

MagSafe Returns After User Criticism

The absence of MagSafe on the iPhone 16e surprised many Apple fans. While wireless charging was still present, the lack of magnets made charging less efficient and less premium. The iPhone 17e is expected to correct this by integrating MagSafe hardware, aligning it more closely with the rest of the iPhone lineup.

Improved Modem and Performance

The iPhone 17e is also rumored to feature Apple’s second-generation C1X cellular modem, offering better signal stability and improved power efficiency. This would be a step up from the older C1 modem used in the iPhone 16e.
