Huawei Mate X7 Goes International With Premium Foldable Upgrades

Huawei has officially introduced the Mate X7 to international markets just weeks after its debut in China. Positioned as a premium foldable smartphone, the Mate X7 is offered globally in White, Black, and Nebula Red color options and comes in a single 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration.

The global launch price of the Huawei Mate X7 is set at €2,099, reflecting its flagship-grade hardware and advanced foldable design.

Stronger Build and Latest Huawei Chipset

One of the major upgrades in the Mate X7 is its improved durability. The device now carries IP58 and IP59 ingress protection, making it more resistant to dust and water compared to its predecessor.

Powering the foldable is Huawei’s latest Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, which is designed to deliver better performance, enhanced AI processing, and improved power efficiency for multitasking and productivity.

Larger LTPO OLED Displays

The Huawei Mate X7 features slightly larger displays on both sides. The 6.49-inch cover screen uses a tall 20.4:9 aspect ratio, while the 8-inch inner folding display offers a more tablet-like 8:7.3 ratio.

Both panels are LTPO OLED displays with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1,440Hz PWM dimming, ensuring smooth visuals and reduced eye strain. The outer screen is protected by Crystal Armour Kunlun glass, while the inner folding screen benefits from an upgraded multi-layer structure with UTG glass for better durability.

Advanced Camera System

On the back, the Mate X7 packs a versatile triple-camera setup. The main highlight is a 50MP RYYB main camera with optical image stabilization and a 10-stop variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, allowing better control over lighting conditions.

The new 50MP telephoto camera supports 3.5x optical zoom with a brighter f/2.2 aperture, while a 40MP ultrawide camera completes the setup. For selfies and video calls, Huawei includes two 8MP front cameras, one on each display.

Battery and Charging

The Mate X7 is backed by a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering improved energy density in a slim foldable form. It supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring quick top-ups for daily use.
