Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Review: The Flagship Tablet is Here
Samsung announced its latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, earlier this month during the annual IFA in Berlin, and now we have it in our office, ready to dive into its features, performance, and real-world usability.
Stunning 14.6-Inch Display:
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra impresses at first glance with its massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display. While the panel design remains largely unchanged from last year, it continues to deliver a vivid, sharp, and bright experience. The tablet supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, ensuring smooth animations and enhanced color reproduction for both work and entertainment.
Powerful Performance Upgrades:
Samsung upgraded the chipset from last year’s Dimensity 9300+ to the Dimensity 9400+, providing faster performance and improved efficiency. Memory options remain robust, ranging from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage, catering to both casual users and professionals who demand high performance.
In terms of cameras, there is a minor change: the Tab S11 Ultra now features a single selfie camera, down from two on the previous model, while the rear camera setup remains the same.
Sleek Design and Lightweight Build:
Samsung has refined the tablet’s design, giving it a slimmer profile of just 5.1mm. It is now one of the thinnest tablets on the market. Along with the slimmer design, Samsung has also reduced the weight, bringing it to 692 grams, making it comfortable to hold for long periods.
Improved Battery and Charging:
Despite the lighter and thinner design, Samsung has slightly increased the battery capacity from 11,200 mAh to 11,600 mAh, promising longer usage between charges. However, the maximum charging speed is still 45W, which is adequate but not particularly fast compared to competitors.
Software and S Pen Experience:
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra runs One UI 8 based on Android 16, providing a smooth and intuitive interface. The package also includes the S Pen stylus, which has been redesigned and improved for enhanced precision and functionality. We’ll be testing its real-world usability in our full review.
Pricing and Availability:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G is available starting at $1,099 for the 12GB RAM / 256GB storage variant. Higher storage and RAM configurations are also available for users who need more performance and space.
