Samsung Galaxy A50 Review: All about Samsung’s New Mid-Ranged Device

Samsung just began its competition with the Chinese phone market and released the mid-ranged A50 with amazing specs and an even more amazing camera. Samsung Galaxy A50 comes with a 6.4 inches screen at a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels display, 6GB RAM, the strong Exynos 9610 chipset and 4000mAH Li-Po battery.

Comparison with Samsung M20: The Previous Model

In terms of mid-range phones, Samsung came out with M20 and then came Samsung Galaxy A50. There are a few differences and upgrades in the newer device.

· From the front, both devices are quite same except that the notch in Samsung Galaxy A50 is rounder than the M20.

· Samsung Galaxy A50 has an Infinity U display while the M20 has an Infinity V display.

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy A50 weighs 166grams and has a front glass body while there is glastic used for the back body. This material is kind of like plastic but does not feel cheap in hand. Single Nano SIM and Dual SIM are supported.

For display, there is super AMOLED touchscreen having 16M colors for awesome quality viewing. The 6.4 inches screen with 84.9% screen to body ratio is large enough for multimedia and image viewing. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is used for the phone’s protection. The phone comes with facial recognition and finger print sensor.

Android 9.0 Pie is used in the Samsung Galaxy A50 and Exynos 9610 chipset is present for best performance. The Octa Core CPU along with 6GB RAM is sufficient for good performance.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy A50 has an awesome camera, whether it is front or back camera. There are three front cameras:

2.      8MP with ultra-wide lens

3.      5MP with depth sensor: enables Live focus pictures

The camera comes with support for Panorama, HDR and LED flash and a video resolution of 1080 pixels with 30 frames per second.

For the selfie camera, there is a 25MP lens with wide 25mm feature and HDR support. For your perfect videos from selfie cam, there is 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second video resolution. The front cam also supports Light focus pictures and it gives good results even when the light is not too ample.

Miscellaneous

There is a non-removable 400mAH battery along with sensors such as gyro, finger print sensor and compass. For messaging, you can use Email, MMS, SMS and IM. Samsung Galaxy A50 is available in Black, White, Coral and Blue. It is priced at 350EUR, 52000 PKR in Pakistan and 20,000 INR in India.
